Put ClearDose on your phone.
No app store required.
ClearDose is a browser app, but you can install it on your home screen in less than a minute. It launches full-screen, runs offline at the pool, and gets out of your way when you’re balancing the test kit. Pick your phone below.
Already installed? Open it from your home screen — you’re set.
iOS Safari
Apple doesn’t give websites a one-button install. Three quick taps in Safari and ClearDose lands on your home screen with the cyan droplet icon.
All instructions stay offline once installed.
- 1
Open the Share menu
Tap the Share button (square with an up-arrow) in Safari’s bottom toolbar. It’s the same button you tap to send a link in Messages or Mail.
- 2
Find “Add to Home Screen”
Scroll down the Share sheet and tap “Add to Home Screen”. On a small screen it can sit several rows below the first row of icons.
- 3
Tap Add
Confirm the name “ClearDose”, then tap Add in the upper right. ClearDose lands on your home screen with the cyan droplet icon — open it like any other app.
- 4
Use it poolside
Open ClearDose from your home screen — it launches full-screen, no Safari chrome. Quick readings, action plan, and salt-pool guide are all one tap away.
Android Chrome (and other Chromium browsers)
Android offers a real install prompt. Chrome shows it automatically; other Chromium browsers put it in the ⋮ menu.
All instructions stay offline once installed.
- 1
Wait for the install prompt
On Chrome for Android, ClearDose will ask to add itself to your home screen. Tap Install. If you miss it, Chrome’s menu (⋮) → “Install app” does the same thing.
- 2
Look for ClearDose on your home screen
ClearDose appears with a cyan icon labeled “ClearDose”. It opens in its own full-screen window — no browser bar, no address box.
- 3
Pin it for fast access
Long-press the icon → “Add to Home screen” or drop it in your dock. Pinning keeps it a tap away when you’re outside with the test kit.
- 4
Use it poolside
ClearDose runs offline once installed — readings, action plans, glossary, and pool-school articles all work at the pool.
Chrome, Edge, and other Chromium browsers
Useful for the bigger keyboard when you’re running the math from the test bench rather than poolside.
All instructions stay offline once installed.
- 1
On a laptop or desktop
Chrome, Edge, and other Chromium browsers show an install icon in the address bar (a small monitor with a down-arrow). Click it to add ClearDose as a desktop app — handy for the bigger numbers on a laptop at the test bench.
Premium compatibility
One install. Both experiences.
The installable version of ClearDose is a wrapper around the same calculator you already use — not a paywall. The core calculator stays free, always reachable from the home, action plan, and salt-pool guides. Premium (later) adds deeper tracking, multi-pool profiles, and exportable reports — and you’ll install it the same way, on the same home-screen app.
